55.4% OF RESPONDENTS ATTRIBUTED AZERBAIJAN’S BRILLIANT VICTORY IN THE SECOND KARABAKH TO PEOPLE’S WILL TO FIGHT – SURVEY

MTM (Media Analysis Center) conducted a survey among citizens regarding the return to Karabakh on the occasion of September 27 – Remembrance Day.

42% of the 1,554 survey participants were women, and 58% were men.

According to 55.4% of those who responded to the first question, Azerbaijan’s brilliant victory in the Second Karabakh War was due to the people’s willingness to fight. 31.3 % of the respondents attribute our triumph in the Patriotic War to Azerbaijan’s military power while 10.3% believe it is due to the gained international standing. 3% of the participants chose “Other” in response to this question.

The respondents answered the question on the key post-conflict realities as follows:

Zangazur corridor must be opened, even if it means using force – 49.6%;

Armenia’s maneuvering capabilities are exhausted – 27.4%;

The sides are very close to signing a peace agreement – 12.1%;

International community is on the side of Azerbaijan – 10.9%.

Respondents to the survey also replied to the question about the construction works in Karabakh. 42.8% of the respondents are generally happy with the demining of the liberated territories. 29.5% of the respondents evaluate the implementation of infrastructure projects in Karabakh favorably. 15.8% of the respondents are satisfied with the restoration of historical and religious monuments, and 11.9% are satisfied with the rapid settlement in Karabakh.

As for the primary directions of economic growth in the liberated territories, 44% of the survey participants said that they see it in the steps to be taken in agriculture, 38.8% – in tourism and services, 8.1% – in industry, 7.5% – in construction, 1.6% – in commerce.
