WORLD LEADERS EXTEND CONDOLENCES TO AZERBAIJAN OVER PLANE CRASH

World leaders have extended their condolences to Azerbaijan following the crash of an Embraer 190 aircraft operating flight J2-8243 from Baku to Grozny.

Among those expressing sympathies are Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President of Türkiye; Vladimir Putin, President of Russia; Aleksandar Vučić, President of Serbia; Sadyr Zhaparov, President of Kyrgyzstan; Emomali Rahmon, President of Tajikistan; Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Kazakhstan; Aleksandr Lukashenko, President of the Republic of Belarus; Isaac Herzog, President of the State of Israel; Masoud Pezeshkian, President of Iran; Shehbaz Sharif, Prime Minister of Pakistan; Asif Ali Zardari, President of Pakistan; Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar; Milorad Dodik, President of the Republic of Srpska; and Sergey Melikov, Head of the Republic of Dagestan of the Russian Federation.

Additionally, the Organization of Turkic States, officials from various states and governments, several Ministries of Foreign Affairs, embassies in Azerbaijan, and representatives of international organizations conveyed their condolences. They expressed their sympathies to the families and loved ones of the victims and wished a swift recovery to the injured.
