
The summit of the 3rd Korkut Ata Turkic World Film Festival has today kicked off in Baku.
The festival jointly organized by Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Culture, the Heydar Aliyev Center, TURKSOY, Azerbaijan film agency and Baku Media Center, aims to foster the unity of the Turkic world, cultural cooperation among Turkic nations and to contribute to the integration of the Turkic peoples by establishing a common audiovisual space with the participation of the Turkic states.
The festival will present 32 feature, documentary, and animation films made by Azerbaijan, Türkiye, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Turkmenistan as well as Gagauz Yeri (Moldova), Tatarstan, Sakha-Yakutia, Dagestan (Nogai), Kabardino-Balkaria, Chuvashia, Karachay-Cherkessia, Tuva and Bashkortostan (Russian Federation).
The first and second editions of the festival were held in the Turkish cities of Istanbul and Bursa in 2022, 2023 respectively.
