As part of the international project “Publishing books dedicated to the legacy of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev” in connection with the 100th anniversary of Heydar Aliyev, the founder of the independent state of Azerbaijan, a brilliant politician and a powerful statesman, the presentation ceremony of the book titled “100 moments of Heydar Aliyev’s life” published in Azerbaijani and English languages was held in Paris, France.
The presentation ceremony held at the Cultural Center of the Embassy of Azerbaijan in France was organized by Leyla Abdullayeva, the ambassador of Azerbaijan to France, Aytan Muradova, the head of the France-Azerbaijan Dialogue Association, and Emil Nasirli, the author of the book, the editor-in-chief of the “Azerbaijanim” international magazine and the corresponding member of the International Academy of Sciences.
Aytan Muradova, the head of the France-Azerbaijani Dialogue Association, speaking at the presentation ceremony, said that the bright pages of the Great Leader’s meaningful and honorable life path form an inseparable unity with the recent history of the Azerbaijani nation. Ayten Muradova spoke about the fact that one of the most important indicators of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev’s phenomenon is the strengthening of aspirations and feelings of statehood based on fundamental principles such as the immense rise of the Azerbaijani ideology, the national spirit, the development of national self-awareness, and the return of the people’s historical memory to themselves, becoming a real political factor.
Speaking at the presentation ceremony, Emil Nasirli, the author of the book “100 Moments of Heydar Aliyev’s Life” published in Azerbaijani and English, editor-in-chief of the “Azerbaijanim” international magazine, corresponding member of the International Academy of Sciences, firstly expressed his gratitude to Ambassador Leyla Abdullayeva, Aytan Muradova, the head of the France-Azerbaijani Dialogue Association for special support to the holding of this prestigious event in Paris, France. Then, Emil Nasirli noted that it is very difficult to find a second person who loves his nation, its history, culture and language as much as Heydar Aliyev. Emil Nasirli, talking about the moments of Heydar Aliyev’s successful foreign policy activity, added that Azerbaijan attracted attention by establishing and raising relations with influential international and regional organizations to a higher level. Heydar Aliyev’s role in bringing the problems of Azerbaijan and the truths of Azerbaijan to the world is undeniable. That is why, as a result of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev’s efforts, since that time, Azerbaijan has achieved close cooperation in the development of bilateral relations with the European Union and European states, including France, which is the leading state of Europe, and today the bilateral cooperation is developing on a rising line. Active representation in the prestigious international organizations of the world constitutes one of the leading directions in the foreign policy strategy of the independent Azerbaijan state, which is rapidly advancing on the path of building an open and democratic society. Cooperation relations with these organizations covering political, economic, cultural, humanitarian, military and other fields are multifaceted and aimed at expressing Azerbaijan’s national interests in a more complete way, strengthening mutual relations with European countries that play a leading role in the international world.
Emil Nasirli also said that the declaration of 2023 as the “Year of Heydar Aliyev” in Azerbaijan is welcomed by all levels of society with great joy, the world-class politics and statesman’s unparalleled services in the field of revival, survival and restoration of our statehood traditions, and the exceptional position of Azerbaijani people in our modern history, and is considered as a bright embodiment of the appreciative attitude of our state. “The Great Leader’s services to our state and people are in front of our eyes every moment and every day. This decision will once again create ample opportunities for the in-depth investigation of individual directions of the genius’s activity, comprehensive promotion of his rich heritage,” Emil Nasirli said.
Later, Emil Nasirli giving extensive information about the book “100 moments of Heydar Aliyev’s life” published in Azerbaijani and English within the international project “Publishing books dedicated to the legacy of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev”, which he authored, emphasized that the activities of National Leader Heydar Aliyev are the national wealth and treasure of the Azerbaijani people, many generations will benefit from this school and contribute to the sustainable development of Azerbaijan. “It should be noted with a sense of pride that the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev erected a monument to himself in the heart of every Azerbaijani, and the name of this monument is the modern independent state of Azerbaijan,” Emil Nasirli said.
At the end of his speech, Emil Nasirli also emphasized that today we all should stick to the actions of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev, unite closely around President Ilham Aliyev, and further strengthen our independence and victory. The Great Leader’s greatest wish was to see the people of Azerbaijan independent, victorious, and our land freed from occupation. The people of Azerbaijan will never forget the Great Leader’s sacrifice for the independence and sovereignty of our state.
Ayaz Gojayev, Advisor to the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Azerbaijan to France, also spoke at the presentation ceremony. Then, at the event attended by public and political figures, representatives of local and international institutions, media workers and other persons, Emil Nasirli answered the questions of the participants of the ceremony about the legacy of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev and presented the book “100 moments of Heydar Aliyev’s life” to the participants.
