“Azerbaijan’s Central Election Commission has so far seen the registration of over 17,500 observers to monitor the snap presidential election in the country. Considering an approximate number of 6,300 polling stations, each polling station will see on average the presence of 3 observers,” Chief Electoral Officer Mazahir Panahov told journalists.
“We welcome the large number of observers. We wish to see these observers monitoring the election process in the liberated territories,” he added.
