OLIVER BEARMAN FASTEST AT FIRST F2 SPRINT RACE IN BAKU

PREMA Racing driver Oliver Bearman has won the first F2 sprint race after a chaotic second safety car restart wiped out the top three in the Baku sprint race.

He beat his teammate Frederik Vesti on the final lap of the race, while Hitech driver Jack Crawford finished third.

The first F2 Sprint Race, which has started today in Baku, featured eleven teams with two drivers from each, who made 21 laps in the Baku city circuit.

Oliver Bearman also topped the opening session of the Formula 2 weekend and ended Free Practice fastest of all. The PREMA Racing driver went quickest late on, gaining a nice slipstream down the main straight to set a 1:54.063. Fellow rookies Isack Hadjar and Kush Maini followed in second and third places respectively.

Oliver Bearman turned his fortunes around in the final seconds of a tense Qualifying session in Baku to claim his first Formula 2 pole position. Rodin Carlin`s Enzo Fittipaldi came second, while Théo Pourchaire and Frederik Vesti Benefitted late on to seal their spots in third and fourth.
