KAZAKH PRESIDENT KASSYM-JOMART TOKAYEV RECEIVES AZERBAIJANI FM

As part of his official visit to Kazakhstan, Jeyhun Bayramov, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

Minister Bayramov expressed his gratitude to President Tokayev for Kazakhstan’s swift and comprehensive support following the crash of an Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) passenger plane near Aktau last December.

The meeting highlighted the exemplary strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, rooted in the historically strong brotherhood between the Azerbaijani and Kazakh peoples, shared traditions, cultural and linguistic similarities, and the open, sincere relations based on mutual respect and trust between the two countries’ leaders.

The two sides emphasized the importance of intensifying the robust cooperation between the two countries through new initiatives across political, economic, industrial, technological, transport, communications, cultural, humanitarian, scientific, educational, and other fields.

They commended bilateral collaboration within regional and international organizations, particularly the Organization of Turkic States, which is built on mutual support, solidarity, and joint initiatives.

Minister Bayramov also expressed his appreciation for President Tokayev’s participation in COP29, successfully hosted by Azerbaijan last November, and welcomed Kazakhstan’s engagement in Azerbaijan’s initiatives.

The meeting further addressed bilateral and multilateral cooperation on issues of mutual concern, as well as regional developments in the post-conflict period.
