Residents of the Italy’s Aeolian Islands of Alicudi and Filicudi off eastern Sicily were spooked by a 4.8 magnitude earthquake under the sea between them at a depth of 17km on Friday, ANSA reports.
Many of the inhabitants left their homes and took to the streets.
No damage was reported.
