IMF MISSION HEAD: A NUMBER OF INTERNATIONAL FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS SUPPORT ECONOMIC REFORMS CARRIED OUT IN AZERBAIJAN

“A number of international financial institutions support economic reforms carried out in Azerbaijan,” said head of International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission for Azerbaijan Anna Bordon, as she met with Azerbaijan`s Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the prospects for cooperation and the issues on the agenda.

The minister emphasized that Azerbaijan’s cooperation with international financial institutions is multifaceted, and spoke about the importance of expanding relations in terms of applying advanced international experience and technological innovations in the country.

Mikayil Jabbarov briefed on Azerbaijan`s macroeconomic indicators and forecasts, progress made through structural reforms, reforms implemented in the field of tax policy and administration.

Anna Bordon highlighted accomplishments achieved as a result of social and economic policy and shared her views on the partnership.
