HANOI HOSTS VIETNAM-AZERBAIJAN BUSINESS FORUM

Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, hosted the Vietnam-Azerbaijan Business Forum and the First Meeting of the Vietnam-Azerbaijan Business Council.

The events were held on the sidelines of the 3rd meeting of the Azerbaijan-Vietnam Intergovernmental Commission.

Opening speeches were delivered by Nguyễn Hoàng Long, Vietnam’s Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, and Parviz Shahbazov, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Energy.

Nguyễn Hoàng Long described Azerbaijan as Vietnam’s first strategic partner in the Caucasus, emphasizing the strong potential for political trust and broad-based cooperation between the two countries.

Minister Parviz Shahbazov highlighted the more than half-century-long history of Azerbaijan-Vietnam friendship and noted that the Joint Declaration on the establishment of a strategic partnership – adopted during General Secretary To Lam’s recent visit to Azerbaijan – provides a solid foundation for expanding economic collaboration.

The Azerbaijani Energy Minister invited entrepreneurs to exchange information on the investment climates of both countries, including opportunities in economic zones, industrial parks, high technologies, agriculture, hydrocarbons, and renewable energy. He also encouraged the organization of mutual business missions, the creation of joint ventures, and investment in concrete projects.

The forum featured the signing of several documents, including a Memorandum of Understanding on renewable energy cooperation between the Azerbaijan Renewable Energy Agency under the Ministry of Energy and Vietnam’s ROX Group JSC. The events continued with B2B meetings and panel discussions.
