French and German cultural TV channel ARTE has broadcast a reportage headlined “Jazz atmosphere in Baku”.
The reportage featured the history of Baku, as well as the creation and development of jazz music.
The reportage highlighted the creativity of Vagif Mustafazade, a talented pianist and composer, the founder of Azerbaijani jazz mugham movement.
The author noted that Mustafazade created a synthesis of traditional Azerbaijani folk music – mugham and the classical American jazz.
