A meeting was held at the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport with Changhee Lee, Executive Vice President and CEO of the Korea Association for ICT Promotion (KAIT).
Samir Mammadov, Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport provided insight into the efforts to develop the digitalization and innovation ecosystem in Azerbaijan.
The Deputy Minister noted that in 2025, two national strategies in this field were adopted – the ‘Concept of Digital Development in the Republic of Azerbaijan’ and the ‘Artificial Intelligence Strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2025–2028’.
The meeting focused discussions on the cooperation between the two countries in telecommunications, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, increasing human resources capacity, and organizing training.
The sides also exchanged views on the opportunities for Korean technology companies to open representative offices in Azerbaijan and establish knowledge-driven joint ventures.
