The Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, the Minister of National Defense of the Republic of Türkiye, Yaşar Güler and the Minister of Defense of Georgia, Irakli Chikovani held a trilateral meeting in Batumi, Georgia.
The ministers noted that for centuries the peoples of the three countries have lived in a spirit of good neighborhood and friendship, and even today mutual relations between the leadership of the heads of state and government are developing.
They stated that cooperation based on mutual trust is of great importance in terms of ensuring the happy future and well-being of the peoples.
The ministers underscored the importance of joint efforts to address modern challenges, particularly those that could threaten regional security, and stressed the need for coordinated activities in this regard.
The Defense Ministers highlighted the importance of expanding the scope of trilateral and bilateral joint exercises and the exchange of expertise.
They expressed confidence that strengthening tripartite cooperation in defense will not only benefit their countries but also contribute significantly to the establishment of lasting peace, stability, and security in the region.
The meeting covered new opportunities for cooperation in military, military-technical, military-educational, and military-medical fields. A detailed exchange of views took place on various topics of mutual interest.
At the conclusion of the meeting, a protocol was signed, and a press conference was held for media representatives.
