BAKU TO HOST INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE “LAUNCH OF AI INDEX FOR ISLAMIC WORLD”

An international conference on the theme “Launch of the AI Index for the Islamic World”, co-organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Science and Education in partnership with ICESCO, will be held at the Heydar Aliyev Center in Baku, on December 8-9.

The event will be attended by ICESCO Director General Salim bin Mohammed Al-Malik, and Sheikh Rashid bin Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Supreme Chairman of the Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation.

The Baku conference will for the first time submit the document “AI Index for the Islamic World”, developed to measure the development trends of artificial intelligence on a scientific basis.

The conference aims to enhance cooperation on artificial intelligence in the Islamic world, as well as discuss the ethical, social and economic impacts of AI.

The event will be attended by about 150 people, including ministers of education from 10 ICESCO member countries, international experts, and representatives of government authorities.

The conference will feature discussions on the role of artificial intelligence in the education system. A final declaration on “Developing the artificial intelligence index among ICESCO member countries” will be also adopted.
