Co-organized by the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication of Azerbaijan (CAERC), the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the ADB Institute and the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC), the Global Think Tanks Forum will take place in Baku, on November 16.
The forum, on the theme “Global Green Economy: Climate Action, Financing and Innovation”, will bring together representatives of the influential global think tanks centers within the T20 network, as well as scientists, officials of the state institutions, MPs, representatives of the private sectors, NGOs and other stakeholders.
Vusal Gasimli, Executive Director of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication of the Republic Azerbaijan, Tetsushi Sonobe, Dean and CEO of the Asian Development Bank Institute; Bambang Brodjonegoro, Special Advisor to the President of the Republic of Indonesia; Nicolas J.A. Buchoud, Senior Advisor to the Dean and CEO, Asian Development Bank Institut, Shen Xiaomeng, UN University – Institute for Environment and Human Security, Amar Bhattacharya, Senior Fellow, Brookings Institutions, Adil Najam, President of WWF International and other CEOs and scientists from the authoritative think tanks centers will address the forum.
The first part of the forum will feature discussions on topics such as “Global Pathways to Sustainability: Mitigation, Adaptation, and Energy Transition,” focusing on emissions reduction, climate adaptation, and energy transitions as interconnected pathways to a resilient future.
The second part will explore the role of green finance in strengthening global climate resilience. It will examine how the financial sector, including public and private investors, can align capital with sustainability goals.
