The opening ceremony of the 2nd Forum of Azerbaijani Judges was held in Baku.
The event began with the performance of the National Anthem.
Addressing the forum, Ramiz Rzayev, Chairman of the Union of Azerbaijani Judges, noted that the event coincides with a period of special meaning and importance for the Azerbaijani judicial system.
Inam Karimov, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court and Chairman of the Judicial-Legal Council, emphasized that 2025 was quite productive and successful for the judiciary.
Farhad Abdullayev, Chairman of the Constitutional Court, stressed that constitutional interpretation plays a crucial role in ensuring legal certainty and upholding the rule of law.
The ceremony concluded with the presentation of awards to a group of judges for their long-term effective service in the judicial system, as well as for the stability of their court decisions.
The forum continues with panel discussions.
The aim of the forum, which brought together about 600 judges and members of the Judicial-Legal Council, is to inform the legal community and the broader public about the ongoing judicial and legal reforms in the country.
