Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov met with Muhammad Sulaiman Al Jasser, Chairman of the Islamic Development Bank Group, as part of the High-Level Roundtable of the Arab Coordination Group held in Baku.
Minister Jabbarov stressed the importance of expanding economic cooperation with the Islamic Development Bank Group, including projects implemented in energy, infrastructure, urban development, agriculture, water supply and other areas.
The sides discussed the issues on the agenda regarding the ongoing preparations for the annual meetings of the Islamic Development Bank Group in Baku in 2026.
They emphasized that holding these events in Baku would contribute to expanding partnerships with Islamic financial institutions and promoting the investment potential of Azerbaijan on a regional and international scale.
The parties also exchanged views on priority areas of cooperation, inclusive approaches in the global financial system, and other issues of mutual concern.
