Azercosmos, the Space Agency of Azerbaijan, has been selected as the winner of the international grant competition organized by the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO).
As a result of the intersection between medicine and astrophysics, Azercosmos presented a theoretical and practical course on medical practice and healthcare under zero-gravity conditions during a scientific-practical training on space medicine. It’s worth noting that modern science studies space medicine exclusively under gravitational conditions. For its innovations in this field, Azercosmos was awarded by the Arabian Gulf University and ICESCO.
The training also covered a range of topics, including satellite technologies and advanced solutions, space medicine, microgravity and gravity, surgical procedures in space, regulation of muscle and bone tissue, blood circulation, and other medical aspects.
