Jeyhun Bayramov, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, held a telephone conversation with Kaja Kallas, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission.
The conversation focused on the current security situation stemming from the Israel-Iran escalation.
The parties voiced serious concern about the security situation in the region stemming from the Israeli-Iranian conflict and stressed the importance of resolving the conflict through diplomatic means.
Kaja Kallas appreciated the crucial role played by Azerbaijan in the evacuation of foreign nationals, including citizens of European Union member states, from Iran.
The parties also exchanged views on other issues of mutual concern.
