
Kamran Aliyev, Azerbaijan’s Prosecutor General, held bilateral meetings with delegations representing law enforcement authorities of several countries on the sidelines 6th plenary meeting of the Global Operational Network of Anti-Corruption Law Enforcement Authorities (GlobE Network) and 10th session of the Steering Committee.
The Prosecutor General held meetings with Vit Hendrych, General Inspectorate of Security Forces of the Czech Republic, Hari Paudel, Commissioner at the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal, and Abdulla Qadirboh, Head of the Administrative Control Authority of the State of Libya.
During the meetings, Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev provided insight into the reforms carried out in Azerbaijan under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev. He also highlighted the institutional activities of prosecution authorities in the fight against corruption, the innovative management mechanisms applied in this field, as well as global partnership initiatives.
The Prosecutor General described the GlobE Network as an important international platform in combatting transnational corruption. He also expressed Azerbaijan’s interest in more active engagement within the framework of this cooperation.
During the meetings, the sides had a broad exchange of views on enhancing mutual experience and information exchange, fostering relations between law enforcement agencies, and the possibilities of deepening future collaboration.
The bilateral talks included discussions on the implementation of joint initiatives at the regional and international levels, including joint participation in global anti-corruption efforts.
