AZERBAIJAN’S CENTRAL ELECTION COMMISSION CONVENES FOR ANOTHER MEETING

The Central Election Commission (CEC) of Azerbaijan held another meeting on Wednesday, chaired by Mazahir Panahov.

The session began with the approval of the protocol from the September 10 meeting.

The commission then reviewed appeals concerning the snap parliamentary elections held on September 1, 2024. Following a transparent, comprehensive, and objective investigation of the appeals, appropriate decisions were made to ensure the efficient and effective protection of citizens’ electoral rights.

The CEC members, with the participation of interested parties, decided to invalidate the voting results from polling stations No. 29 and 32 of the Lankaran village electoral district No. 78, as well as polling stations No. 2, 14, and 20 of the Nasimi-Yasamal electoral district No. 22.

The CEC reaffirmed its commitment to thoroughly investigate all appeals and information received regarding the elections in a fully transparent, unbiased, and detailed manner.

Media representatives attended the meeting, which also included extensive discussions on other current issues.
