Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov has had a telephone conversation with his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu.
During the telephone conversation, the FMs discussed the elimination of the consequences of the earthquake that caused heavy casualties and massive destruction in Turkiye, as well as recovery after the earthquake.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov reaffirmed Azerbaijan’s readiness to continue providing all the necessary assistance to brotherly Türkiye. He also inquired about the consequences of the strong earthquakes that hit today Turkiye’s Hatay province.
Minister Cavusoglu briefed Azerbaijani FM about the current situation in the quake-hit area, as well as the plans to build new buildings in the quake-affected areas. He said that the latest earthquakes that struck Hatay province only damaged buildings that had previously suffered serious or moderate damage.
The sides also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
