AZERBAIJANI, GEORGIAN FMS EXPLORE PROSPECTS FOR STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP

Jeyhun Bayramov, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, held a telephone conversation with his Georgian counterpart Maka Botchorishvili.

During the meeting, the foreign ministers discussed the current state and prospects of fraternal relations and strategic partnership between the two countries.

They noted that the current high-level political dialogue and intensive visits between the two countries contribute to further strengthening of relations. The two emphasized the importance of enhancing the high-level political contacts in the next year.

The sides focused on trade and communications in the region and hailed efforts in this regard. Praising the agreement reached on tariff issues related to the export of Azerbaijani oil products to Armenia through Georgia, the ministers underscored the importance of continuing efforts in this area.

Jeyhun Bayramov expressed his gratitude to the Georgian leadership for the prompt resolution of this matter.

The meeting also exchanged views on other bilateral and regional issues.

The ministers extended their sincere congratulations on the upcoming New Year, expressing their confidence that relations between the two countries will continue to strengthen in the coming year.
