AZERBAIJANI FM PAYS WORKING VISIT TO RUSSIA

On December 5, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov paid a working visit to the Russian Federation.

First, FM Jeyhun Bayramov paid tribute to the unknown soldier in the Alexander Garden in Moscow and laid a wreath at the eternal flame.

Then a bilateral meeting between FM Jeyhun Bayramov and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, as well as a joint meeting with the participation of delegations of both countries were held.

During the meetings, the sides discussed current issues of cooperation agenda between Azerbaijan and Russia, cooperation in the fields of economy, education, transport and other bilateral and regional areas, as well as the normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, and the implementation of the trilateral statements.

Following the expanded meeting, the plan of political consultations for 2023-2024 between Azerbaijan and Russian Foreign Ministries was signed.

At the end of the meeting, FM Jeyhun Bayramov and Russian FM Sergey Lavrov held a joint press conference and made statements.

The FMs then responded to questions from journalists.
