An Azerbaijani delegation led by Ahmad Ismayilov, Executive Director of the Media Development Agency, met with Fang Shizhong, Director General and Editor-in-Chief of Shanghai Media Group.
Executive Director Ahmad Ismayilov emphasized the importance of strengthening partnerships in the media sector and promoting cooperation between the two countries amid the rapidly changing global information environment. He also highlighted the significance of organizing experience exchanges between media regulatory bodies and entities, as well as implementing joint media projects.
Fang Shizhong provided detailed information about the organization’s modern technological infrastructure, methods used in planning, producing, and broadcasting television content, and innovative approaches developed within the digital media environment. He also spoke about Shanghai Media Group’s future goals and steps to enhance its competitiveness in the global information space.
Following the meeting, the Azerbaijani delegation toured Shanghai Media Group’s broadcast and editing rooms, technological infrastructure, and digital broadcasting systems.
The Azerbaijani delegation to the People’s Republic of China included Ahmad Ismayilov, Executive Director of the Media Development Agency; Ismat Sattarov, Chairman of the Audiovisual Council; Kamran Hasanov, Head of the Media Sector of the Department for Work with Non-Governmental Organizations and Communication at the Presidential Administration; Vugar Aliyev, Chairman of the Board of the Azerbaijan State News Agency (AZERTAC); and Rufat Hamzayev, Executive Director of AnewZ TV channel.
