As part of the Azerbaijani Cultural Ambassadors Meeting held in Rome, Minister of Culture Adil Karimli and a delegation of cultural and art representatives visited the iconic Borghese Gallery.
During the tour of the museum, the delegation was briefed on the history of the gallery and the artworks on display. It was highlighted that the Borghese Gallery, located in the Villa Borghese Park, was built in the early 17th century by architect Flaminio Ponzio and houses an extensive collection of paintings, sculptures, and antiques. It has been noted that the gallery contains works by famous artists such as Giovanni Lorenzo Bernini, Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio, Raphael, Titian, Peter Paul Rubens, Agnolo Bronzino, and others. The Gallery has been recognized as a National Museum of Italy since 2014.
