Events on the occasion of Gurban Holiday were held in the Army Corps, formations, and special educational institutions of the Azerbaijan Army.
First, during the events, the memory of National Leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev and martyrs, who sacrificed their lives for the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, was honored with observing a minute of silence. The national anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was performed.
The congratulations of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev, and Defense Minister, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, on the occasion of Gurban Holiday, were conveyed to the military personnel.
A feast of the sacrifice was held with the participation of servicemen, and festive tables were served for them.
