
Azerbaijani Ambassador to Türkiye Rashad Mammadov met with the heads and representatives of the leading media outlets of Türkiye and Azerbaijan in Istanbul.
The meeting took place as part of events organized by Professor Aygun Attar, President of Türkiye-Azerbaijan Friendship, Cooperation and Solidarity Foundation (TADIV), marking the 5th anniversary of the Karabakh Victory.
Aygun Attar highlighted the objectives of the Foundation, its main principles and the progress made to strengthen relations between Türkiye and Azerbaijan.
She briefed the crucial projects and initiatives implemented by the foundation up to now. It was noted that the TADIV Strategic Research Center, Shusha Convention Center and Culture House operate under the Foundation.
Then, Ambassador Rashad Mammadov responded to questions from representatives of media outlets.
The ambassador highlighted the Zangezur corridor, the importance and security of this road for the region and the whole world, the situation in the region after the Karabakh Victory, the path to a peace agreement, the prospects created by this agreement, the steps taken by Azerbaijan to ensure sustainable peace in the region, and the political and moral support provided to the country by the Turkish state and people during the Patriotic War.
The event was also attended by Azerbaijan’s Consul General in Istanbul Narmina Mustafayeva.
