Ramil Rzayev, Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Singapore, with residence in Jakarta, presented his credentials to President of Singapore Tharman Shanmugaratnam.
At a meeting held following the ceremony at the Istana, Ambassador Rzayev conveyed the greetings and best wishes of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to the President of Singapore.
President Tharman Shanmugaratnam expressed gratitude for the greetings and asked the ambassador to convey his regards to the Azerbaijani head of state.
The meeting focused on prospects for enhancing cooperation between the two countries in political dialogue, economic and trade relations, investment, energy, transportation, digital development, tourism, and other areas.
The ambassador also provided an overview of the ongoing normalization and peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
