
Jeyhun Bayramov, Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister, met with his UAE counterpart Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the political, economic, trade, energy, humanitarian aspects of the Azerbaijan-UAE comprehensive strategic partnership, cooperation within regional and international organizations, as well as the current security situation in the region.
The two emphasized the key role of the reciprocal visits of both countries’ heads of state, the agreements and documents signed during these visits in elevating relations to the level of comprehensive strategic partnership.
They reviewed implementation of the agreements reached within the first meeting of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Cooperation Committee between the two countries in November last year, hailing the preparations for the second meeting to be held in Baku this year.
The sides also stressed the importance of continuing mutual support within regional and international organizations.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov highlighted the peace agenda following the Washington summit on August 8.
The meeting lauded positive dynamics in relations between Azerbaijan and the UAE. The sides explored the possible steps to further facilitate the travel of citizens of the two countries.
The meeting also addressed other issues of mutual concern.
