AZERBAIJAN TO HOST 12TH EUROPEAN POLITICAL COMMUNITY SUMMIT IN 2028

The Azerbaijan-European Union (EU) relations are advancing across five main pillars, and cooperation with the EU member states is expanding within the framework of strategic formats. Azerbaijan has currently established strategic partnership ties with 10 EU member states, which is an indicator of political dialogue built on mutual trust, said Jeyhun Bayramov, Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister, during a press conference on the outcomes of 2025.

FM Bayramov also highlighted the high-level reciprocal visits and intensive political consultations held within the framework of Azerbaijan-EU relations this year.

“Azerbaijan demonstrated an active and principled position at the 6th and 7th Summits of the European Political Community with the participation of President Ilham Aliyev. Within this platform, Azerbaijan has consistently reiterated its position on issues of European security, energy cooperation and regional stability,” Bayramov underlined.

Minister Jeyhun Bayramov mentioned that an agreement was reached to hold the 12th Summit of the European Political Community in Azerbaijan in 2028, describing this as an indicator of the country’s growing political influence and its status as a reliable partner in the European space.
