Azerbaijan will host the World Judo Championship in 2026.
The relevant agreement was reached between the International Judo Federation and the Azerbaijan Judo Federation.
The signing of the 2026 world championship contract marks a major milestone in Azerbaijan’s journey within the International Judo community. The event is set to bring together the best judoka from across the globe on their road to Los Angeles Olympics 2028.
Previously, Azerbaijan hosted the World Judo Championship in 2018.
