A delegation led by Head of the State Service for Protection, Development, and Restoration of Cultural Heritage under the Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Culture Sabina Hajiyeva has attended the first International Congress on Cultural Heritage and Sustainable Development held in Havana, the capital of Cuba.
On the first day of the congress, President of the Republic of Cuba Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermudez received the participants. The President of Cuba highlighted his country’s attachment to its cultural heritage as well as the initiatives put forward by the country in this regard, wishing success to the first congress of the member countries of the “G77+China” Group, this year presided by Cuba.
The meeting of the culture ministers of the “G77+China” member countries, held within the framework of the congress on the theme “Culture for Sustainable Development”, highlighted the rich historical and cultural heritage of Azerbaijan, which is located at the crossroads of the East and the West, and actively promotes intercultural dialogue worldwide.
The event once again emphasized the importance of the “Baku Process”, which is an initiative of Azerbaijan as well as the World Forums on Intercultural Dialogue, which take place regularly in this framework, as a global platform.
