AZERBAIJAN PARTICIPATES IN CIS INTERSTATE COUNCIL MEETING ON STANDARDIZATION AND METROLOGY

Ilgar Hasanov, Advisor to the Chairman of the State Agency for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, participated in the 68th meeting of the Interstate Council for Standardization, Metrology and Certification (ISC) of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), held in Moscow, Russia.

The hybrid-format meeting brought together representatives of the Azerbaijan Institute of Standardization (AZSTAND), the Azerbaijan Institute of Metrology (AzMI), national bodies for standardization, metrology, conformity assessment and accreditation of CIS member states, as well as the CIS Executive Committee and the Bureau of Standards.

The meeting aimed to enhance cooperation in the fields of standardization, metrology and certification among CIS countries that are parties to the Agreement on the Implementation of Agreed Policies in these areas, discuss topical issues, and adopt joint decisions.

During the meeting, participants discussed the establishment of the Interstate Standardization Program, as well as the creation of new international technical committees on standardization.
