On July 19, an Azerbaijani parliamentary delegation led by Javanshir Feyziyev, head of the Milli Majlis working group for Azerbaijan-Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) inter-parliamentary relations, met with Ziya Öztürkler, Speaker of the TRNC Assembly, in Lefkoşa.
The meeting explored ways for developing interparliamentary relations between the two countries, as well as increasing number of socio-cultural events dedicated to Azerbaijan in Northern Cyprus.
TRNC Assembly Speaker Ziya Öztürkler expressed his country’s readiness to further enhance relations with Azerbaijan.
Highlighting the future activities of the Azerbaijan Cultural Center in Lefkoşa, the sides noted that the center would contribute significantly to the intercultural ties between the two brotherly countries.
