AZERBAIJAN, IRAN EXPLORE COOPERATION IN FAMILY, WOMEN, AND CHILDREN AFFAIRS

Bahar Muradova, Chairperson of Azerbaijan’s State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs, met with Zahra Pezeshkian, daughter of the President of Iran, on the margins of the international conference on “Protection of Children in the Digital Environment: Modern Tools and International Cooperation” in Baku.

Bahar Muradova noted that the relations between Azerbaijan and Iran enjoy deep historical roots.

According to her, the two brotherly, neighboring, and friendly states, approach the ongoing regional developments, as well as the development of economic and social relations, in the spirit of bilateral and multilateral cooperation.

Highlighting the steady enhancement of relations between the Presidents and parliaments of the two countries, Bahar Muradova expressed Azerbaijan’s willingness to boost relations with Iran across various domains.

Zahra Pezeshkian suggested to establish cooperation between the two countries in family, women, and children affairs, as well as implement expertise-sharing mechanism.

Bahar Muradova expressed Azerbaijan’s readiness to undertake the necessary steps in this regard.
