
To enhance the knowledge, skills, and professional level of psychologists serving in the Azerbaijan Army, and to improve their effectiveness in various service conditions, a psychological training program is being held at the Military Management Institute of the National Defense University.
On the first day of the training, participants received detailed information on EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy from a psychologist invited from fraternal Türkiye.
According to the plan, the program covers psychological traumas, how they are retained in memory, bipolar disorders, methods for overcoming childhood fears, the neuropsychological aspects of the psychological condition of servicemen experiencing trauma in combat and extreme conditions, effective ways to support them, methods for resolving deep psychological problems, and mechanisms for applying these methods.
Conducted in an interactive format, the training allows participants to enhance their knowledge and skills by analyzing case studies based on real-life situations and completing practical exercises using modern scientific approaches and methods applied in practice.
The training, organized to improve the professional skills of psychologists serving in the Azerbaijan Army, will continue until December 9.
