
Azerbaijani Health Minister Teymur Musayev met with members of the United States Chamber of Commerce to discuss cooperation in the health sector.
Officials said the meeting focused on the current state and outlook of Azerbaijan–U.S. collaboration in healthcare. Discussions addressed the modernization of Azerbaijan’s healthcare system, the adoption of innovative medical technologies, and partnerships in the pharmaceutical sector and medical education.
Participants also provided an overview of healthcare reforms in Azerbaijan under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, highlighting efforts to improve the quality of medical services, strengthen human capital, and advance digitalization.
Musayev emphasized the importance of expanding mutually beneficial cooperation with international partners, including U.S. companies. Jennifer Mill, Vice President of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce for the Middle East, Central Asia, and Turkiye, expressed interest in deepening ties with Azerbaijan, noting opportunities for U.S. companies to share expertise and technologies in healthcare and pharmaceuticals.
The meeting concluded with an exchange of views and discussions on potential opportunities for future collaboration.
