Azerbaijan’s Minister of Health Teymur Musayev has met with Lu Mei, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Azerbaijan, to explore prospects for bilateral cooperation in the healthcare sector.
Minister Musayev emphasized the dynamic development of Azerbaijan-China relations, driven by the efforts of both countries’ leaders. He noted that the “Joint Statement on the Establishment of a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the People’s Republic of China,” signed by the heads of state, had elevated bilateral ties to a new level.
He also underlined that the strategic partnership encompasses many areas, with healthcare being a particularly important one.
Ambassador Lu Mei expressed satisfaction with the growing friendship between the two nations and reaffirmed China’s commitment to expanding joint healthcare initiatives.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the current state and future development of cooperation in healthcare, including collaboration in medical education, scientific research, pharmaceuticals, the application of innovative technologies, and other areas of mutual interest.
