ARAB MEDIA OUTLETS WIDELY COVER PEACE DECLARATION SIGNED IN WASHINGTON

Arab media outlets have widely covered the Joint Declaration signed between Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, witnessed by U.S. President Donald Trump in Washington.

A number of news portals from Kuwait, Egypt, Morocco, Algeria and Mauritania published an analytical article headlined “Peace after Victory – The Leader’s historic mission” by Fuad Huseynzade, Chairman of the Public Union of Journalists’ Support to Diaspora Activities.

The article emphasized that the document signed in Washington on August 8, 2025, holds significant importance in terms of ending the long-standing conflict in the South Caucasus and establishing sustainable peace.

The article also underlined that the agreement represents the legal and political recognition of Azerbaijan’s superior position, affirmed through both diplomatic and military victories. With the triumph in the 2020 Patriotic War, President Ilham Aliyev altered the geopolitical landscape of the region, liberated occupied territories, and restored Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity. However, true leadership is measured not only by military success but also by the ability to achieve peace. In this regard, President Ilham Aliyev has managed to transform his battlefield victories into diplomatic strength, becoming the architect of peace.
