Within the Argentine National Team, the true talisman of titles has a name: Ángel Di María, who has scored four times in World Cup and tournament finals with Argentina, according to Marca.
The midfielder is really the player who always makes a difference for Argentina in the Finals and, as proof he has scored in four of the decisive duels won by his country.
Di María scored a goal in the World Cup Final in Qatar after a great play that was crowned with an extraordinary goal. El Fideo made it 2-0 before 45 minutes against France at the Lusail Stadium.
His first decisive goal came in the 2008 Olympic Games Final when Argentina beat Nigeria 1-0 to win the Gold Medal. At the time the lanky footballer was 20 years old and already a revelation for his team.
During the 2014 World Cup Final, Di Maria was injured and could not make a difference in the duel they lost to Germany. However, the footballer’s revenge would come in the 2020 Copa América Final and against Brazil. There Di Maria was once again the author of the goal that gave the cup to Argentina.
Di María even scored a goal in the finals that Argentina played against Italy in the match between the Copa América champion team and the Eurocup champion team. In that duel, the Argentines easily won 3-0 against a European team that did not find its way and over time did not even qualify for Qatar 2022.
