Newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the State of Qatar Mahir Aliyev has presented his credentials to Amir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
The ambassador conveyed the greetings and best wishes of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to the Amir of Qatar.
Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani asked Mahir Aliyev to extend his greetings to President Ilham Aliyev.
Describing Azerbaijan as a brotherly country, the Amir noted that the two countries are particularly interested in expanding economic and trade relations and are ready to cooperate in this direction.
Saying that the reciprocal visits made an important contribution to the deepening of bilateral relations, Ambassador Aliyev hailed the fruitful cooperation between the two countries within international organizations.
Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani once again congratulated the Azerbaijani ambassador and wished him success in his future activities.
