7.2-MAGNITUDE QUAKE HITS KERMADEC ISLANDS, NEW ZEALAND: CENC

A 7.2-magnitude earthquake jolted the Kermadec Islands, New Zealand at 8:41 a.m. Monday Beijing Time, Xinhua news agency referring to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).

The epicenter was monitored at 29.65 degrees south latitude and 177.65 degrees west longitude, at a depth of 30 km, the CENC said.
