Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov has met with visiting President of the 77th Session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA) Csaba Kőrösi, on the sidelines of the Summit-level Meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement Contact Group in response to COVID-19, Foreign Ministry’s press-service reported.
Minister Bayramov thanked Kőrösi for participation in the NAM Summit-level meeting.
Bayramov highlighted UN representatives’’ visit to Azerbaijan in recent years and country’s active participation in deliberations on the UN agenda.
The meeting also saw discussions on the situation in the region, reconstruction projects in the liberated lands, normalization process with Armenia and Azerbaijan’s steps towards peace agenda.
Kőrösi touched upon Azerbaijan’s growing role during the country’s chairmanship. He lauded Azerbaijan’s globally important anti-Covid-19 pandemic initiatives during 4 years of chairmanship.
