Taking into account the start of the heating season in Baku and some regions on November 15, MTM (Media Analysis Center) surveyed city residents. 49% of the 1,420 survey participants were women, and 51% were men.
29.8% of respondents indicated that the house where they live is equipped with a communal heating system. 48.4% of respondents heat their home with a combination boiler, 2.9% with air conditioning, 7.3% with an electric furnace, and 5.3% with a wood-burning heater. 6.3% of respondents said that there is no heating system in their houses.
Respondents reported their average monthly heating costs. The responses were as follows:
Up to 10 AZN – 16.5%;
11-30 AZN – 19.3%;
31-50 AZN – 22.4%;
Over 50 AZN – 41.8%.
