AZERBAIJAN, SERBIA HOLD POLITICAL CONSULTATIONS

On February 3, the multilateral political consultations were held between Azerbaijan and Serbia in Baku.

The consultations were led by Azerbaijan’s Deputy Foreign Minister Yalchin Rafiyev and Serbian State Secretary Nevena Jovanović.

The sides conducted a broad exchange of views on both countries’ foreign policy priorities in the context of changing geopolitical realities, international and regional processes of mutual interest, as well as key challenges.

The meeting also explored cooperation between the two countries with strategic partnership relations, in the political, economic, energy security, transport links, combating climate change and other areas within multilateral formats.

The two focused on development of bilateral and multilateral cooperation with leading regional and global partners, strengthening mutual efforts within global platforms, as well as providing mutual support for initiatives and candidacies within international organizations.

The parties emphasized the importance of continuing mutual support on foreign policy issues of fundamental importance to both countries within multilateral formats.
