A mine incident occurred in the village of Mehdili in the Jabrayil district on January 7, according to Azerbaijan’s National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA).
The agency reported that Mammadov Rashad Nariman oglu, an employee of one of the private companies involved in humanitarian mine clearance operations, born in 1985, sustained a minor leg injury after stepping on an anti-personnel landmine, while performing his duties.
Mammadov was evacuated from the scene and transported to the district hospital. His condition is reported as stable, with no threat to his life.
