UN OFFICIAL COMMENDS COOPERATION WITH AZERBAIJAN

Azerbaijan’s Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population Anar Aliyev met with Vladanka Andreeva, United Nations Resident Coordinator in Azerbaijan, on the occasion of the completion of her mission in the country.

During the meeting, Minister Aliyev underscored Azerbaijan’s strong commitment to its partnership with the UN and expressed gratitude to the Resident Coordinator for her valuable contributions to strengthening ties during her tenure.

Vladanka Andreeva commended the ongoing cooperation between UN agencies and the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, particularly in the implementation of social reforms and support for socially vulnerable groups.

The meeting also highlighted the significance of the UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework for 2026–2030, signed between Azerbaijan and the UN. Within this framework, the parties exchanged views on joint initiatives across various areas of the ministry’s work, focusing on human capital development, the promotion of improved labor conditions, and the enhancement of the social protection system.
