On December 19, Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov met with Secretary-General of the International Civil Defence Organization (ICDO) Arguj Kalantarli.
During the meeting, the sides hailed the long-standing and constructive partnership between the ICDO and Azerbaijan.
The Secretary-General expressed his gratitude for Azerbaijan’s unwavering support of the organization and its commitment to international cooperation, highlighting the country’s rich experience in the fields of civil defence and emergency management.
He also briefed the Azerbaijani Prime Minister on the ICDO’s institutional reforms, efforts to expand its membership, and planned humanitarian initiatives.
PM Ali Asadov reaffirmed Azerbaijan’s commitment to cooperation with the ICDO, underscoring the importance the country attaches to fostering ties with the Organization.
The meeting also addressed other issues of mutual interest related to the future development of cooperation.
