Member of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Deputy Chair of the Committee on Culture, Gunay Afandiyeva, has been awarded the honorary title and medal of “Ambassador of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan.” The award was presented to her by the Minister of Culture of Uzbekistan, Ozodbek Nazarbekov.
Minister Nazarbekov noted that, under the instructions of the President of Uzbekistan, efforts to promote and develop Uzbek culture are consistently supported and highly valued. He particularly emphasized Gunay Afandiyeva’s significant contributions to the promotion of Uzbekistan’s rich historical and cultural heritage.
Expressing her gratitude for the honor and high recognition, Gunay Afandiyeva stated that she remains committed to supporting the integration of the two countries and further strengthening cultural ties.
During the meeting, the sides also highlighted the important milestone of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, being celebrated this year.
The meeting continued with discussions on prospects for future cooperation to further expand cultural exchanges between the two nations.
